Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team spinner Saleh Ahmed Shawon has been seriously injured when a ball hits his head in a net practice session on the morning of Tuesday January 19, 2016 in ZACS Chittagong. He has taken to hospital immediately, but still unconscious.
Bangladesh U19 team manager Sazzad Ahmed said, ‘Emergency medical treatment is going on, but still to comment on his situation.’
Update: Good news from doctors. Saleh Ahmed Shawon got back his senses and now in stable condition. Bangladesh U19 Head Coach Mohammad Mizanur Rahman said “He is okay now, initially he was injured due to getting hit by ball in the head during practice.”
Saleh Ahmed Shawon is an important player of Bangladesh U19 team in the upcoming ICC U19 World Cup 2016 in Bangladesh, due tot start from January 27.
Shawon has played some key bowling in the series against the West Indies U19 side last week. He was the Man of the Match in the 1st ODI with 4/24 and also took 3/19 in the 2nd ODI, rested in the 3rd ODI.
