West Indies Under-19’s tour of Bangladesh will begin on 8 January, 2016 to play three match ODI series. Bangladesh U19 vs West Indies U19 ODI series will start on Jan 11 with the 1st ODI at SBNCS Mirpur Stadium, while the 2nd & 3rd ODI will be played on 14 & 16 January at ZACS Chittagong Stadium.
Ban U19 vs WI U19 ODI series will give a good warm-up opportunity & confidence booster for both team weeks before the ICC U19 World Cup 2016 in Bangladesh. West Indies U19 team will get an early adoption to Bangladesh weather condition & slow pitches, where spinners play the key role to a match result. Batsmen also face challenges in sub-continent pitches due to slow & uneven bounce.
Meanwhile, both the teams have confirmed players list for Ban U19 vs WI U19 ODI series 2016 and the same team will compete in the ICC Under19 World Cup 2016.
Bangladesh U19 team will stay at Chittagong after the ODI series against the West Indies U19 to play warm-up matches and the 1st match of ICC U19 World Cup 2016 against South Africa on Jan 27, 2016.
Bangladesh U19 will play the 1st Warm-up match against Zimbabwe U19 on Jan 23 and will face England U19 on Jan 25 in ZACS, Chittagong.
