Dhaka Mohammedan vs East Bengal FC – 2nd Semi-final Preview

Dhaka Mohammedan vs Kingfisher East Bengal FC of Kolkata will face in the second semifinal of the eight-team Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup 2015 Football Tournament at M.A. Aziz Stadium in Chittagong today, Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 07:40pm local time.

Bangladesh private TV channel, Channel 9 will telecast the Dhaka Mohammedan vs East Bengal 2nd semi-final live.

Dhaka Mohammedan coach Kazi Joshimuddin Ahmed Joshi said, “Undoubtedly, the Kolkata league champion East Bengal Club are very strong opponents, but I’m do not want to die before the death,” as he speaks in a pre-match press conference at M A Aziz Stadium yesterday.

“I don’t think that East Bengal Club are an unbeatable side for us, we will fight firmly in all 90 minutes,” the coach added.
Joshi informed that they will set their game plan after observing opponents’ tactics and techniques seen in the last three matches.  The coach was worried a little bit as some players of his team are suffering from viral fever, but is hopeful of getting their service.

Mohammedan captain Arup Kumar Baidya said, “We have achieved our first target, now we’ll play to reach in the final.”
On the other hand, East Bengal coach Biswajit Bhattacharyya expressed his optimism to do better in the semifinal with their brilliant performances.

“We’ve come here as team to perform well, and we reached near our ultimate goal, hope we’ll play well,” Biswajit continued.

Admitting Dhaka Mohammedan as tough opponents, the East Bengal coach said, “We’ve respect to our opponent but I’ve also faith on my players, as they played bravely in the group matches,“ he further said.

East Bengal flew in their best foreign recruit this year last Monday night in order to bolster their squad. Do Dong-hyun is a South Korean winger who joined the Kolkata outfit this season. In his first assignment with the club, the Korean forward scored 12 goals from 10 matches in the Kolkata Football League. Hosts Chittagong Abahani bore all the travel expenses of the player.

Dhaka Mohammedan reached the semifinal as Group A runners-up securing 6 points from three matches with two wins and one loss while East Bengal Club booked a seat for the semis as group champions with unbeaten run securing 6 points from as many as matches with two wins and one draw.

Dhaka Mohammedan started their group stage campaign with 1-0 loss against De Spin Ghar Bazan FC of Afghanistan then showed a stunning comeback sealing a 6-1 goals victory over Solid Sports Club of Sri Lanka which is still the biggest margin win of any team in this tournament. In the 3rd and last group match Dhaka MSC beat Kolkata MSC by 2-1 goals.

Kingfisher Eeast Bengal (KEB) FC started their tournament campaign with a 2-1 win against hosts Chittagong Abahani Ltd and continued the winning spree outplaying Karachi Electric FC by 3-1 goals in the 2nd match, followed a goalless draw against Dhaka Abahani Ltd.
