Education minister & education board confirmed the final date of SSC 2014 result publication in a press conference at Bangladesh Education Ministry, Dhaka.

This year 1,432,727 examinees appeared for SSC Exam 2014 which held from Feb 9 to Mar 22, which was a increase by 129,554 from last year’s 1,303,203. A total of 733,000 males and 699,525 females from 27,489 institutes sat for the SSC exam 2014 at 2942 exam centers . will appear for the exams.

This year 1,090,000 students took part in SSC tests under eight boards, 239,749 students under Madrasa Board and 102423 students appeared at SSC vocational tests.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid hoped to publish results on May 17 or May 18, which is within 60 days after the end of exams. This will help the students to enroll at the colleges by July 1 ,2014.

The Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Bangladesh are responsible for conducting the examinations for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC), the Higher Secondary (School) Certificate (HSC), the Alim and the Dakhil level public examinations.

There are eight regional boards (Barisal, Chittagong, Comilla, Dhaka, Jessore, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Dinajpur) plus the Madrasah Board and the Technical Board. In 1985 Dakhil level was given the standard of education of S.S.C. and in 1987 Alim level was given the standard of education of H.S.C in a reform of the entire education system.
